The "proportioning" valve on the left front fender is the source for the brake warning light. If the pressure in either the front or rear circuit drops significantly below the other, the slide in the switch moves, triggering the warning light. I don"t know which booster controls the front brakes. The one nearest the left fender, or the the other one.? The parts book doesn"t make it to clear, and there is a zillion brake lines running through the the firewall and the frame. Also, just in case is that proportioning valve availabe from somewhere in case it is bad? I notice it has some type of plug in lead running into it what is the function of that lead?
