Re: [VintageLambo] vacuum from an engine

Well Paul...I"ll have to disagree with that one though it is off topic! They work at any speed but not at any load. When you tried to drive one uphill or overtake something( A cyclist or pedestrian maybe?) the wipers just stopped! Downhill they went so fast that they nearly flew off the screen! p.s. The Popular was badged as an Anglia in the U.S. Steve UK. ----- Original Message ----- From: Paul F Pringle To: VintageLambo@yahoogroups.com Sent: Thursday, May 20, 2004 10:31 PM Subject: RE: [VintageLambo] vacuum from an engine Hi Lars, I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this one, any one who has owned a Ford Popular will know that the windscreen wipers are powered by a vacuum motor which works at all speeds and the vacuum is taken from the manifold in the same way as the brakes. The wipers work all the time the car is running for obvious reasons.
