Body of Message

Here"s a link to my crude web page with further pics of the car. Note since the paint is only partially stripped off the body, from afar overall the car looks really tattered. In person, you can tell it"s just the patchiness of partial paint removal that makes it look worse. Once the car is completely down to bare metal, it really won"t be much work to get it ready for new paint as most of the body is very smooth and straight. Just thought I"d mention that so you won"t be frightened by the pictures. Contact me with any questions. David http://home.bellsouth.net/p/s/community.dll?ep=331&folderid=140316&groupid=26862&folderview=thumbs&ck= Here are some details and pictures: 1979 Lamborghini Countach S LP400S, serial number 1121054 (titled in Florida as a 1981). An early "low body" car (#27) off the line according to the serial number. Car is in mid restoration, with some work remaining including bodywork, paint and interior. I have all parts necessary to finish the car. Some particulars: - Brand new Connolly leather, Wilton Wool carpet, and suede dash and headliner material, all in original colors. - The suspension is all new, with aluminum coil-over shocks (double adjustable for compression & rebound and also adjustable ride height). New Eibach springs. - Brakes are all new Wilwood custom aluminum 4 pot racing calipers and two-piece rotors. Has new brake master cylinder and new braided stainless lines. (The stock calipers and rotors come with the car too). - Includes a custom designed and fabricated Electromotive distributorless ignition system. Factory original equipment distributors and coils, etc. also come with the car if you want to keep it original. - New custom Griffin aluminum high performance radiators and also original factory radiators. The work remaining to be done is very straightforward. It needs: - Finish aluminum bodywork repair (mostly right rear corner and a little at the front) Car is mostly all down to bare metal, but some areas still have the stubborn to remove orig blue paint. Most of the aluminum skin is nice and damage free, but the pics show the damaged areas. - Repair the original aluminum rear trunk lid skin or buy new skin for the new trunk lid frame that comes with car. - Repair the original rear wing. - Install front bumper/spoiler and fiberglass repair 3 of the fender flares. - Repaint whole car (original color was Acapulco Blu - a nice dark metallic blue) - Install windshield (I have a new one in a crate). - Reupholster interior - it is currently usable in navy vinyl, but I have new leather hides in bright white for it (the factory color). - Recarpet interior and rear trunk - it"s got the original rugs in sad shape, but useful for patterns and I have new navy blue wool carpet on a roll (factory color). - Reupholster dash, interior side pillars and headliner - I have new navy blue suede and white headliner suede on rolls (orig. colors). - Install Electromotive direct-fire coils (HPX) They are $580 each and you"ll need two - The trigger wheel, pulley and pickup sensors and custom bracket are already engineered, fabricated and installed, so it just needs the coils to complete. - Install new radiators (I may have this done before delivery - otherwise it will only take an hour to do). - Install the new braided stainless lines and bleed brake system. - Engine turns over freely and had spark with the original coils and twin distributors, but I wanted an advanced ignition system. The original distributors are still installed and could be used if desired. - Install exterior lights and trim - I have all parts needed. - Car is rolling on cheap wheels and old tires, needs either factory wheels or appropriate replacement aftermarket wheels and tires (I may have a pair of rear Yokohama AVS 345/35ZR15 tires available separately. - All suspension is newly restored, so the car will need alignment when
