Other Information: KEY FACTS An exhilarating track-only variant of Lamborghini’s modern supercar, accompanied by a comprehensive package of spare parts. The vehicle was built by Reiter Engineering to compete in the 2009 FIA GT3 Championship. It is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10, delivering 393kW / 535hp and 376lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a six-speed sequential transmission, operated via a Holinger paddle shift system The vehicle was updated to an EVO specification around 2012. The engine was rebuilt in 2014 and runs upgraded forged rods. EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES This Gallardo GT3 is finished in matte black with ‘Underdog Racing’ decals and various sponsor logos, while the pared-back cabin houses a single black Reiter Engineering bucket seat. It rides on a set of black 18-inch OZ Racing centre-lock alloy wheels, The purposeful cabin is fitted with a MOMO steering wheel, a plumbed-in fire extinguisher, a MoTeC digital dashboard with shift lights, a rear-view screen, and a CoolShirt cooling system. The car also features an aftermarket MoTeC ECU and dash display Accompanying the car is the current Motorsport Australia logbook and a comprehensive spares package, which includes wheels and tyres, braking components, transmission parts, coils, and wheel bearings. CONDITION The seller notes that the car has sustained previous bodywork damage, as is common with competition vehicles, but that the chassis is square and sets up well. The body is wrapped in vinyl and is in fair condition, with various chips, scratches, indentations, and marks around the bodywork, commensurate with its usage. Inside, everything is in good shape. The seller states that the suspension, brakes and steering are in good shape, as is the clutch, transmission and the driveline. Its engine performance is good, with excellent oil pressure. Cylinder leak down figures all below 10%. Recent oil sample test results showed everything was well within acceptable ranges, and there are no oil leaks. SERVICE HISTORY Corse Automotive Services Pty Ltd has maintained this car since late 2018. During this period, it has been meticulously maintained mechanically, and has always been fast and reliable. The bodywork has been maintained to a practical level as a race car, not a show car. The car was last serviced in September 2022, when Corse Automotive Services replaced the engine oil and brakes, and performed a general inspection. SUMMARY This is a very usable example of Lamborghini’s thrilling track-only supercar, built by renowned German racing specialist Reiter Engineering to compete in the 2009 FIA GT3 Championship. More recently it has been fastidiously maintained by a motorsport specialist in Sydney, during which time it has always proved both fast and reliable, so it would now make a fantastic track toy for another dedicated enthusiast.
