Other Information: The Lamborghini Aventador J was first unveiled at the VW group Introduction night on the 5th March 2012 prior to the public launch at the 82nd Geneva Motor Show on 6th March 2012.

The J tag evokes memories of the 1970's Miura Jota and 1990's Diablo Jota cars, and is has been stated the J is for Jota.

Taking just 6 weeks to build, on the instructions of CEO Stephan Winkelmann to "build me something special', the car has already been sold to one of Lamborghini's favourite customers for £1.7m (US$2.5m, Euro 1.9m) plus taxes.

The car is based on the standard production LP700-4 Aventador, utilising the same engine, but removes the roof, and uses more yet carbon fibre. The interior is trimmed in Carbonskin, a new material developed by Lamborghini. This will likely feature on future models.

It has been stated by CEO Winkelmann, that no copies shall be made, and their will only be one.

The lucky owner will have a unique no compromises open top roadster like only Lamborghini can build.
