1985 RHD Countach QV
Chassis Number FLA12817 is this UK market Rosso car with Nero Leather interior, currently believed to be residing in United Kingdom .
Other Information: for sale, Amari Performance,UK, March 1996,42k km for sale at Mark Donaldson Cars, Hampshire, UK with 41814 miles for £280k supplied new to the UK via London importer Portman Lamborghini. Finished in classic red coachwork with a black leather trimmed cockpit this Countach was registered on the 22nd April 1985 and has been the subject of much expenditure to keep it in fine condition it presents. By 1996 the registered keeper was Philip Geoffrey Dobson of Reigate, Surrey who acquired the Countach on 15th June that year. In April 1997 the car was purchased by Nick Gatehouse of Credit Lyonnais Securitis. An MOT certificate from April 1997 shows an odometer reading of 48,237 kms (29,973 miles). Mr Gatehouse was resident in Hong Kong so the car was stored in the UK at Ian Nuthall Garages of Nottingham and registered in Mr Nuthall’s name. A letter on file declares that during the period 1997-2013 the Countach was stored in the care of IN Racing (Ian Nuthall Racing) and whilst not in use by Mr Nicholas Gatehouse was kept in an underfloor heated and dehumidified environment and was attached to a trickle battery charger. The car received regular oil and water level checks along with periodically starting and running the engine. Various invoices in the accompanying file show expenditure of over £6,500 in 1997 for extensive mechanical works including a gearbox overhaul. In July 2004 the car received new carpets to the interior and boot area while the sill covers were re-trimmed in new black leather along with new speakers fitted under the perforated sections. An MOT certificate from November 2012 confirms an odometer reading of 59,667 kms (37,075 miles) which indicates the car had covered only 7,102 kms (4,412 miles) in the preceding fifteen years reflecting its long term storage. Invoices from early 2013 show over £4,000 was spent recommissioning the car and it also took part in the Lamborghini 50th Anniversary Tour in Italy. Further improvements were carried out during 2013 before being acquired by the current owner in October of that year with just over 64,000 kms (38,870 miles) showing on the odometer. Since then he has invested a further £20,000 to make it one of the best examples of its kind. The Countach is currently showing 67,294 kms (41,814 miles) and has just been the subject of a major refurbishment program (completed in July 2016) including rebuilding the brakes, suspension, air-conditioning system and a fluid service..
