This Espada, chassis no. 9020, was delivered, according to the Lamborghini registry, on the 11th of April 1973 to the Swiss Lamborghini agent Bernasconi and handed over to the first owner on the 13th of April. Originally painted in “Luci del Bosco” with a leather interior in “Senape” (Mustard) , the car was repainted quite early in its life to the actual combination of blue metallic with a white leather interior. In 1978 the car was taken over in this colour combination by the vendor who immediately had the car waxoiled and corrosion protected by a specialist. In addition, he changed the cooling liquid to a mixture of 10 CST silicone-oil to achieve a better cooling performance and additional corrosion protection for the engine internals. In 1985, the owner decided to leave Switzerland and to emigrate to the southern hemisphere and therefore deregistered the Espada in January 1986, then showing (1)24’056 kilometres. The car was dry-stored, put on wooden blocks and the passenger seat was removed in order to have it refurbished. In August 2023, nearly 30 years later, the Lamborghini was finally liberated from its dark enclosure. The preservation measures taken, together with a thick layer of dust made sure, that the coachwork was in a near corrosion-free state. The matching- numbers engine no. 41037 is turning freely, the gearbox seems ok, and the Espada is movable. .
